Senior Center’s Trailblazers shared news on their first successful outing. They are inviting active seniors in town to join them for future outings, including one later this month.
Seventeen members of the newly formed Trailblazers Club at the Southborough Senior Center enjoyed an outing to the Quabbin Reservoir on Friday, September 25th. The tour began with a very interesting talk given by a member of the DCR staff describing the history of the Reservoir and the growth of the MWRA water system which passes through Southborough and provides us with our very high quality water. Following the talk the group took advantage of the beautiful fall weather to hike up to the summit ofTower Hill where they enjoyed a box lunch before returning to bus for the return home.
The club’s next event will be a local hike on a section of the Bay Circuit Trail in Southborough on October 27. All seniors are welcome to join this active group .

You don’t have to be a member of Trailblazers to join their hikes. But if you’d like to help them plan other outings, they’ll be happy to have you join their ranks. Contact the Senior Center at (508) 229‐4453 and ask for either Pam or Peg.
