Algonquin junior and senior girls are holding a “Powder Puff” football game 6:30 pm tonight at the school. According to Southborough Wicked Local, Algonquin senior Allison Madigan organized the game as a way for the girls to have fun while helping a cause she believes in.
Madigan has volunteered with the Rustic Pathways Foundation over the past two summers. Work included helping to build septic tanks in Fiji and a water pipeline in Peru.
The foundation funds charitable work around the world. It describes itself as supporting
communities in their efforts to implement locally-driven, sustainable solutions to their development challenges. We work with our local staff to identify community-prioritized development initiatives, and leverage the passion and generosity of the Rustic Pathways community to support the projects. 100% of every donation goes directly to our projects.
Tickets for tonight’s game are $3 for the general public, and $1 for high school seniors with a student ID. Proceeds will be donated to the charity.
