The Greater Worcester Community Foundation has announced yet another grant opportunity. The focus this time is on early childhood programs.
They are now accepting submissions from organizations that serve our region. Proposals should be submitted by public charities serving cities/towns within Worcester County, which includes Southborough.
Grants from $5,000 – $25,000 will be awarded. The intent is support community work to “build healthy and vibrant communities”.
Greater Worcester Community Foundation Now Accepting Applications for Early Childhood Grants
The Greater Worcester Community Foundation is now accepting grant applications for its early childhood program. According to research, a child’s first eight years are the most critical for human development, and GWCF believes that building a solid foundation during these years is the most effective way to assure a healthy and productive life. The Foundation has made early childhood education a priority in its funding initiatives.
The grants will support early childhood programs that:
- Increase the quality and quantity of formal early education for low-income children;
- support parents and families in their roles as teachers, caregivers, and supporters of their children’s development;
- help eliminate summer learning loss among low-income children in greater Worcester.
The Foundation awards community grants to support nonprofit organizations that build healthy and vibrant communities in Central Massachusetts. The typical grant range is $5,000 to $25,000.
