The EMC project continues to roll on, despite the company’s recent announcement of layoffs and cost-cutting. The next step is a series of meetings with the Westborough Conservation Commission. A public hearing will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the Forbes Municipal Building (map).
The Westborough Conservation Commission once before rejected the EMC proposal citing lack of information on topics such as drainage. EMC appealed the decision and the Department of Environmental Protection was called in to resolve the dispute.
EMC is also expected to appear before the Southborough Conservation Commission in the near future. The commission discussed a timeline at their meeting last week. I’m checking with Conservation Administrator Beth Rosenblum to see what they worked out.
