Southborough Police have released the identities of two drivers involved in a tragic crash Sunday night on Framingham Road.*
The deceased driver was a 20 year old from Framingham, Matthew O’Leary. Investigators’ preliminary reports indicate that prior to the crash O’Leary was driving at a high rate of speed and side swiped another vehicle.
Further down the road he lost control, crossed lanes and crashed into an oncoming pickup. The pickup driver who incurred non-life-threatening injuries was Ashland Police Officer Erik Fay of Marlborough.
Fay was on his way home from work. The officer is recuperating at home after being released from the hospital early Monday morning.
