A reader asked me to confirm and post upcoming meetings scheduled for review of projects at Park Central.
If you haven’t been following closely, the site behind Flagg Road is proposed for 180 condo units and 142 townhouses. The scale and possible traffic volume is of great concern to many residents, especially those living on or off of Flagg and Deerfoot roads.
The project has been under review for years. But it’s getting closer to the finish line and will be addressed by at least four committees in the next few weeks.
Unfortunately, most committees don’t post their agendas until close to the required notice, which is sometimes as little as two days. Meanwhile, residents who are trying to follow proceedings are also trying to plan summer getaways. So, I agree it makes sense to give reader a heads up on the schedule.
Fortunately, Town employees were able to confirm the following dates (some tentative):
- Monday, July 11 – Planning Board (item planned, but agenda yet to be posted)
- Thursday, July 14 – Conversation Commission (agenda)
- Tuesday, July 19 – Board of Selectman (tentatively scheduled – agenda hasn’t been officially approved yet)
- Wednesday, August 3 – Zoning Board of Appeals (tentative – it’s the next planned date, but could change as date gets closer)
Southborough Access Media will most likely broadcast live and post all of these meetings except for the Conservation Commission’s.
As usual, I’ll post next week’s scheduled meetings with agendas on Monday. And you can always check for the official updated meeting schedule on the Town’s website.
