Southborough Wicked Local reports that a victim of a head on collision in Southborough was flown to UMass Medical Center with “serious, but non-life threatening” injuries.
The report shares that the crash took place on the west end of Route 30 between Chestnut Hill and Wyndemere roads this afternoon.
Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free a man trapped inside his car. A medical rescue helicopter flew in to Chestnut Hill Farm.
The crash occurred about 2:15 p.m. The Honda Civic and a Mitsubishi Outlander collided head-on, Mauro said.
The Outlander was driven by a woman who was brought to UMass by a Westborough ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
No identities have been released yet.

Updated (7/19/16 9:43 pm): Southborough Wicked Local updated with news that the crash appeared to have been caused by the Honda veering into the other lane. The reason is unknown and the accident is still under investigation.
