Proud parents are sharing news of their hardworking baseball All Stars. Southborough 9 year olds brought home the district title from this weekend’s tournament:

The Southborough 9-year-old team won the district title in the Webster All Star tournament on Saturday July 23rd defeating the Shrewsbury Americans 13-3 for the championship.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the third inning before Southborough broke it open with 5 runs en route to capping off its undefeated run in the tournament.
The district tournament is held in Webster and consists of 14 area teams including Webster, Sturbridge, Westboro, Leicester, Southborough, Shrewsbury Nationals, Charlton, Oxford, Dudley, Shrewsbury Americans, Quabog, Grafton, Southbridge, and Northboro.
The only MVPs on this team were commitment and hard work. Congratulations to the Southborough 9 year-old baseball team.
