The carpet has been ripped out, the bookshelves and all the books are in storage, and the walls have been repaired. What remains in the children’s room of the library is a blank slate of sorts. Last month’s flood means the library gets to do some unplanned sprucing up.
When I stopped by last week, children’s library Kim Ivers was thinking about paint colors. She said they’re leaning toward a soft green for the walls, and something complementary for the floors. They’re also considering how to configure the space when they move all the furniture back in a few weeks.

Hopefully, just hopefully, there will be a permanent solution to a problem that has existed since they added to the library.
Hey, does anyone know if these current renovations have in fact addressed the root cause of the reoccuring water problems?
