Kathann M. (Gebhardt) Bertone, 54, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 15, 2018 after being stricken ill. She was born in Memphis, TN a daughter of the late Dorothy (Rowe) Thurman and John M. Gebhardt.
Following the family’s relocation to Massachusetts, Kathann was raised in the Southboro area. She graduated from Algonquin Regional High School in 1981. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science from Central New England College. Kathann worked in manufacturing for most of her career. Working for Coughlin Electric., Worcester, Morton Sprocket and Gear in Milford, Motion Industries in Worcester and most recently for Thermo Fisher Scientific in Franklin, where she was an inside sales representative. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers, crocheting, cooking for her family and she never passed up a good ice cream cone. Her greatest joy has always been spending time with her husband, son, grandson and her sisters.
Kathann will be forever loved and missed by her husband of 28 years, Gary W. Bertone; her son, Christopher Bertone of Westborough; her grandson, Phoenix Bertone; her three sisters, Laurie Martel of Worcester, Carol Carey of Dennis and Annette Diodati of Lawrence; as well as her four brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to Kathann’s Life Celebration visiting hours on Thursday, April 19th from 4-7 p.m. at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester, with a prayer service to follow at 7 p.m.
