It’s likely you can guess why flags are at half staff today, the eighth anniversary of the September 11 attacks. President Barack Obama ordered them lowered from sunrise to sunset in honor of the 9/11 victims.
In Massachusetts, flags will also fly at half staff tomorrow, September 12, in honor of Specialist Jordan M. Shay of Salisbury, Massachusetts who was killed in action in Iraq on September 3, 2009.
