Information session to talk ‘green communities’ on January 19

In 2008 Massachusetts passed the Green Communities Act. It’s legislation that encourages municipalities to adopt clean energy practices in exchange for increased local aid. Since then, more than 80 cities and towns in the state have been designated Green Communities. Southborough’s Green Technology and Recycling Committee thinks our town should consider becoming one of them. A brief update on the search for a new fire chief

Before the holidays, the Board of Selectmen opted to defer their decision on a new fire chief after interviewing a single finalist for the position (a second finalist had dropped out just days prior). Breaking news: Swap Shop to remain open as town explores options

DPW Superintendent Karen Galligan said tonight the Swap Shop will remain open while the town explores options for dealing with traffic and other issues at the Transfer Station location.
