Troop drive organizers thank community for support

Southborough resident Lisa Braccio said when she held her first care package drive in 2005 to benefit troops overseas, she never dreamed she would still be at it 16 drives later. But she is, and she and co-organizer Debbie Depp Wilson sent along these words of thanks to those who contributed to their latest drive held this past weekend at the Senior Center. Pilgrim Church to host interfaith discussion on Islam – Monday, October 22

As part of an ongoing interfaith dialog, Pilgrim Church on Monday will host the Worcester Islamic Society for a conversation about the basics of Islam. While the discussion may help put global events in context, Pilgrim Church Minister Jon Wortmann said the main objective is to understand how Muslims in our own community practice their faith everyday. What’s up with the peeling street signs?

Pay attention to street signs as you drive around town, and it won’t take you long to notice some of them are in rough shape. The signs are peeling, and in a number of cases, street names are no longer discernible. Many of you have been wondering why they haven’t been replaced.
