The Southborough Police Department is joining more than 120 other local departments, along with state police, in a high-visibility seat belt enforcement mobilization called Click It or Ticket. At an awards ceremony on Tuesday evening, the The Northborough/Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council recognized 93 local residents for the impact they have had on the lives of children with special needs. With Town Administrator Jean Kitchen retiring at the end of next month, the Board of Selectmen said they must move quickly to find a replacement. At a meeting last week they put their stamp of approval on a new job description – one that expands the role of the town administrator – and appointed members to a committee charged with screening applicants.
