Adopt-A-Hydrant, Equipment grant, Brush Burning permit season, and what else the SFD has been up to lately.

I’m rounding up some of the work the Southborough Fire Department has been up to between headlines I’ve already covered this winter.

Police Alert & Updates

Front door kicked, Select Board to vote on Regional Dispatch agreement, and a report on what Police have been up to lately

Southborough Police are investigating an incident of an apparently kicked (but not kicked-in) front door. It’s one of the many updates I’m sharing related to the SPD.

Medical Marijuana Dispensary leaving town (Updated)

The timeline for CommCan's relocation to its recreational dispensary in Rehoboth is still TBD.

The Marijuana dispensary in town will be closing up shop (at a date still TBD). And based on past Town Meeting votes unfriendly to marijuana businesses, there are definite challenges for a new business to take over the market. Southborough’s Public Health Department is offering one more expert talk this month for parents about “Raising Resilient Kids”.

Southborough Resident Chronicles her Odyssey

"A Corner for Me", is a resident's memoir of her earlier life and dreams, starting as a child in Nazi occupied Greece and ending with becoming a foreign exchange student.
