Breakneck Hill land access will be temporarily restricted for Farm Dump cleanup project (Updated)

Starting Monday, the Community Garden area parking and trail will be roped off for several weeks to allow the Town's contractor to "mobilize" to clean up the old dump in the woods.

Today, the Town announced that progress on cleaning up an old farm dump will impact parking and trail access at Breakneck Hill Conservation Land.

New blood running for seats in upcoming election (Updated)

There's a race for the Housing Authority, and new candidates are running for school committees and the Library Trustees. There is still time to pull papers to run for any of the seats on the ballot this May.

I promised to keep readers updated on the Town election. There is another potential race brewing. And it is worth noting that some incumbents aren’t running for re-election this spring.

Library Building Project request headed to Annual Town Meeting

Library seeks to answer questions about an ATM Article asking voters to support a potential project to expand the library (or build a new one)

At Town Meeting on March 23rd, Article 12 will ask voters to agree to commit up to $150K for planning and design work for a project for a new or renovated/expanded library building.*

Police: Traffic, Icy Roads, and seeking info on Wyndemere Burglary

Southborough Police have alerted that an accident at Route 9 East and Woodland Road is causing traffic backups. They further warn of ice patches throughout town including on Route 9 and Central Street.

In a post yesterday, the SPD also issued a public request for any information related to a home burglary that appears to have taken place on Saturday between 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Wyndemere Road through a 2nd story window. Post-Season Update: ARHS Girls Hockey in Final Four, Track at Nationals

As the winter sports season comes to a close, Girls Hockey and Girls and Boys Indoor Track continue to impress as they are representing Algonquin in their respective competitions.
