Southborough is one of four local towns whose police officers will receive special training this spring to prepare ” to respond to critical incidents like shootings, school violence, and other high-threat situations”.

The annual forum to get to know the candidates running for contested positions is a week from tonight. It allows residents to essentially take part in the job interview for seats on one of the most powerful boards in the executive branch of our Town government.

Town Meeting approved expanding right to add Accessory Dwelling Units
Owners of single family homes will have a right to add an apartment or additional unit, within size caps, and as long as they meet other zoning (and septic) restrictions.

I’m continuing to follow up on debates that took place at Annual Town Meeting earlier this month. Today I’m focusing on a zoning change that should make it much easier for residents to add Accessory Dwelling Units to their homes. A Mass Dept of Public Utilities investigation invites comments on customers' rate experiences, and input on other questions they are looking into.

The state is inviting the all gas and electricity customers to comment on delivery charges.
I’m also reminding about the Town’s program meant to help save costs on the supply side. And, I’m highlighting (for Earth Day week), that some Town plan users may want to upgrade to a greener choice.
