Two Algonquin jazz bands took part in the annual Massachusetts Association for Jazz Educators (MAJE) district festival last week, and both offered performances that impressed the judges. Drug-sniffing dogs to search Algonquin on Thursday
As part of an effort to dissuade students from bringing drugs to schools, police will use drug-sniffing dogs to search inside Algonquin for illegal substances. They’ll also search any cars parked on school grounds. It will mark the first time ever K-9 units have been used to search for drugs at the school. An ode to Algonquin: Seniors create tribute video
For Algonquin seniors Giles Ober of Southborough and Samuel Huddart and Nic Zanghi of Northborough, it wasn’t your average homework assignment. What began as an idea in a marketing research class, turned into a project that took five months to complete and involved nearly the entire school. It’s a project the three students hope will earn them not just a good grade, but one they hope will leave a lasting impression on the Algonquin community. Assabet superintendent to retire after 38 years with the school
Assabet Superintendent Mary Jo Nawrocki announced recently she will retire her post after 38 years with the school.
