It was a nail-biter for the Algonquin boys lacrosse team last night at Foley Stadium, but the T-Hawks pulled out a 7-6 win against St. John’s in the Central Division 2 semifinals. Postseason update: Girls lacrosse advances to the semifinals; rain delays other games

After more than a week of idle time thanks to a first-round bye and some uncooperative weather, the Algonquin girls lacrosse team finally got in their Central Mass Division 1 quarterfinal game yesterday afternoon. Turns out the week off and the rain falling at game time did nothing to dampen the team’s spirit as they rolled past Bromfield by a score of 19-5. Postseason update: Boys lacrosse, baseball, girls tennis advance; rain postpones girls lacrosse match

Heavy rain postponed the scheduled girls lacrosse quarterfinal match on Saturday – if the weather cooperates they’ll get the game in later today – as the boys lacrosse, baseball, and girls tennis teams all advanced to the next round. For the girls softball and boys tennis teams it was the end of the road.
