The Algonquin basketball program will offer a skills camp at the high school over February vacation for boys and girls in grades 5 through 8. The camp will be run by varsity head coaches Brian Doherty and Ron Jones with help from the varsity boys and girls players. Algonquin’s school colors are maroon and gold, but this weekend they sprinkled in some green. The Algonquin boys basketball team paid homage to Eric Green at their game this weekend by donning green shoelaces, marking the one-year anniversary the Trottier 7th-grader’s sudden passing. Registration is ongoing for Southborough Youth Baseball and Softball’s upcoming spring season. Programs are available for boys and girls ages 5 through 15. It’s time for the winter sports season at Algonquin. The action begins on Friday with home openers for both the girls and boys varsity basketball teams.
