Southborough to search for new Principals for Finn & Neary

The principals of two elementary schools announced they will retire at the end of the school year.

The district recently announced the planned retirements of Principal Clayton Ryan and Principal Kathleen Valenti. That means the Southborough Schools will be searching for two new elementary school Principals to begin in June.

Officials agree to bring school building research choices to voters (Updated)

The Select Board, School Committee, and other officials are working on a phased plan, including a Special Town Meeting in the spring.

Officials are working towards holding another Special Town Meeting on spending on Southborough school buildings. But this time, there will be big differences.

The Select Board and School Committee are targeting spring for a meeting that will focus on Feasibility Studies and Schematic Plans. Southborough & School Merch Fundraiser for SOS — Ends Tuesday

The parent organization for K-8 Public Schools is tapping into town and school pride (and early holiday shopping) with an apparel fundraiser.

SOS (Southborough Organization for Schools) is promoting a fundraiser that ends this Tuesday (November 18th). Their online shop is offering a wide variety of school themed clothing. Big changes coming to ARHS graduation requirements

Starting with next year's freshman class, Algonquin students will be required to meet the state's "Common Core" requirements. The increased "rigor" should mainly impact about 10% of students.

Until recently, the Algonquin Regional High School administration defended its decision to not adopt the MassCore graduation standards. Post-Season Update: XC still running; Field Hockey and Boys Soccer out (Updated)

ARHS Cross Country came in 2nd at their League Championships last month. This weekend, they head to the Divisional Championships

Two out of three Algonquin varsity teams are advancing to the next round of MIAA Division 1 playoffs tomorrow. In all three games, the lower seed team triumphed.
