ZBA to deliberate on 40B abutting Breakneck Hill — Dec 11 (Updated-again)

The ZBA has closed its hearing on the 5 story, 60 unit building proposed at 120 Turnpike Rd. Now they have to determine what conditions to impose.

Last week, the Zoning Board of Appeals was forced to close the public hearing on the proposed 40B project at 120 Turnpike Road. They are scheduled to deliberate on the decision on December 11th.

Potential townhouse compromise at 250 Turnpike Rd, latest on 120 Turnpike compromise, and hearing delayed to July 31st for Park Central as court case continues its discovery phase.

A 40B developer floated an alternate vision for one of his projects — a taller building, but set further away from abutting Breakneck Hill Conservation Land

At this week’s Planning Board meeting, the board and public weighed in on a potential compromise for a 40B project abutting Breakneck Hill Conservation Land. There were still details some were still a little wary about. But it appeared to have some general support, at least directionally. 120 Turnpike Rd 40B hearings continuing while developer considers potential changes

The project has been further complicated by a legal opinion that the Town has ownership rights for the 6.2 acre site conditioned as a gift by the prior owner.

Based on passionate public response, the developer asked to withdraw a special permit modification application, instead promising to reconsider the housing project details at 120 Turnpike Road. Park Central on hold while developer considers options

ZBA is against considering current application as written due to Covenant agreement with neighbors. Hearing continued to Jan 10th to discuss next steps.

Comments for Turnpike Road 40Bs due mid-August (Updated)

250 Turnpike Road has now filed for eligibilty. The Select Board will hold a forum for public comment prior to submitting the Town's letter. The Planning Board is seeking a legal opinion on 120 Turnpike Road.

The deadline for public comment to MassHousing on the 120 Turnpike Road 40B has been extended to the same date that comments for the newly filed 250 Turnpike Road eligibility application are due.
