The proposal to build a 180-unit 40B complex on currently undeveloped land off Flagg Road has many neighbors sounding an alarm. A good crowd of neighbors turned out last night to learn more about a 180-unit 40B condominium complex being proposed for a parcel of land behind Red Roof Inn in the Flagg Road area. A 16-unit 40B townhouse development on Oak Hill Road called Woodland Meadows is having a hard time getting off the ground. The project was approved in October 2010, but the developer wasn’t happy with many of the conditions attached the approval, so he appeal to the state to have some removed. The appeal was settled last summer, but the Metrowest Daily News reports the project is still facing challenges. The developer of the proposed Madison Place apartment complex, a 40B project to be located off Route 9 near Crystal Pond Road, has agreed to pay the town $360K to help offset the impact the development will have on the town, Zoning Board of Appeals member Leo Bartolini Jr. told selectmen last week.
