Moving to Feasibility Phase; Seeking new members with engineering/architectural/construction experience; Updates on enrollment and costs

Last spring, voters approved the Town’s efforts to study a potential school building project.

Seeking members for Community Exploratory Committee (and other committees)

The Town is creating a committee to research a Community Center at Woodward or elsewhere. Over 15 other committees also have vacancies.

Master Plan: Final version out, Implementation Committee created, Community Center Committee to be established

Town’s consultants recommend use of Woodward as municipal building/community center and Town House as Library annex

Described as “phase zero” of Town’s analysis, consultants studying the Town’s space needs and options recommended a plan to completely repurpose two Town owned buildings. While a formal decision has yet to be made – the School Research Subcommittee seems on track to recommend closing one school. It would be part of a multi-pronged approach to handle municipal building needs. Fall Special Town Meeting will be held for capital expenses and downtown Zoning

Tuesday night the Board of Selectmen and the Advisory Committee agreed to hold a Special Town Meeting in the fall on several Capital Expense items. References were also made to using the meeting for a planned zoning Article on the Downtown Business Village.
