Town Meeting Update: Taxpayers could see < 2.5% increase; SAP explanation & Final Warrant posted
Advisory is optimistic that the final budget at Town Meeting will represent just a “cost of living increase”. Information session to talk ‘green communities’ on January 19
In 2008 Massachusetts passed the Green Communities Act. It’s legislation that encourages municipalities to adopt clean energy practices in exchange for increased local aid. Since then, more than 80 cities and towns in the state have been designated Green Communities.
