10/18 Town Meeting to vote on gating Flagg Rd, removing Use Variances, and eliminating IDC

On October 18th, Southborough is holding a Special Town Meeting. Since I last posted about it, the date moved and Articles for three more Citizen Petitions have been added to the Warrant. Park Central: Vote scheduled (4:30 today); public questions rush on project adding 319 residences (Updated)

I’m supposed to be on vacation. But, Park Central pulled me back in.

On Monday, the Zoning Board of Appeals posted an addition to today’s agenda on the project “and to vote upon.” Interestingly, the meeting is scheduled for 4:30 pm on a summer afternoon. Zoning Board of Appeals names new Chair and “Clerk”; “Chair Pro Tem” to be named as needed

Last night, the Zoning Board of Appeals followed through on a reorganization to remove Chair Leo Bartolini from the helm. Early on in the talk, it looked like he would be acting as backup to lead some meetings. But while he potentially could, it doesn’t look likely. Park Central developer pushing for Planning Board site plan approval on September 19th

Yesterday, the Planning Board received the “100%” plans for the Park Central Site Plan Review. In last night’s hearing, the board and developer agreed to extend the application deadline and continue the hearing to September 19th. But it took more than a half hour of tense debate and an off camera consultation with attorneys to come to the agreement. ZBA Park Central hearing and reorganization – this Monday (Updated)

Yesterday, the Zoning Board of Appeals met to continue the hearing on Park Central Developments. The hearing will now take place on Monday, August 8th at 7:30 pm. In related news, during public comments on Tuesday nights two residents objected to the handling of the petition to remove the ZBA chair.
