This fall, voters will decide whether to continue the “Main Street Reconstruction” project or simply repair and repave the road.

Public Safety building update: BOS aiming for Presidential ballot; may vet out reappointment of opponents (Updated)

Last night, the Board of Selectmen reassured volunteers that they are still prioritizing a Public Safety Building project. Chair John Rooney told the study committee they hope to complete negotiations with St. Mark’s School for land acquisition within 2-3 weeks. The Town will be seeking to put something on the Presidential election ballot.

This week, the Board of Selectmen were briefed on the public safety building project. 3 out of 4 presented options required acquiring land from St. Mark’s School. The “very preliminary” price tags for all construction options was around $20 million. BOS votes on Fire Station, public safety complex, and sidewalk commitee

Last night’s Board of Selectmen meeting was heavily focused on town infrastructure.

Selectmen filled out committees for a potential new public safety complex and prioritizing sidewalk projects in town.They also awarded close to $90,000 in design and construction contracts.
