STM Article 16: Adding a new SPD Lieutenant (Updated – again)
Voters will be asked to add another Police Lieutenant position to the budget to help deal with a "staffing crisis".
According to Police Chief Ryan Newell, the Southborough Police Department has a staffing crisis. The SPD has lost eight officers in the last 21 months. And his second in command has an “overwhelming” workload.

STM Article 15: Paying for the doubled cost of cleaning up the farm dump at Breakneck Hill
Last year, Town Meeting voters approved borrowing and spending $2.2M to cleanup an old farm dump on Breakneck Hill Conservation Land. On Monday, voters will be asked to add on another over $2.13M for a cleanup project that is turning out to cost about double what had been estimated.
