A reminder that Southborough Project Respect will hold an anti-bullying workshop for parents, coaches, and educators on Tuesday evening. Here are the details from a previous post.
Southborough Project Respect – a collaboration of town departments, parents, and the schools – will host an anti-bully workshop at Trottier next week. The program is intended to give parents, coaches, and those who work with children, hands-on strategies to deal with bullying and tools for building respectful cultures.
The workshop will begin with a presentation by the Lexington, MA based coaching organization Compass for Kids (website), followed by discussion groups for parents, as well as one for professionals.
The workshop takes place on Tuesday, January 31, from 7:00 to 9:30 pm at the Trottier Middle School library.
Southborough Project Respect was founded in 2010 with the goal of promoting respect within our community. It’s a cooperation between Southborough Youth & Family Services, Southborough Extended Day Program, the Recreation Department, Southborough Public Schools, and parents.
As one of only 2, other than Extended Day Care Staff, to stay for the entire program I would like to say that it was an excellent presentation followed by 2 discussion groups. It is a shame no other parents attended.
