As I shared earlier this week, candidates for Town election have less than a month to to pull and file papers.
Several potential candidates completed the first step. As of yesterday afternoon, only one of them was “new blood”.
Former Chair of the (appointed) Personnel Board, Stephen Morreale, is running for moderator this year. But even that doesn’t make for a race. According to Town Clerk, Jim Hegarty, current Moderator David Coombs said he isn’t planning to run for re-election. (Though, he does have time to change his mind.)
All the other candidates pulled papers for seats they already occupy.
Interested in throwing your hat in the ring?
Swing by the Town Clerk’s office by noon on March 18th. Then you only need to collect 44 voter signatures by March 21st to make the ballot.
Now here’s who’s pulled papers so far:

Stephen A. Morreale, 58 Oregon Road

Updated (2/24/16 4:05 pm) Just inserted the news that Coombs isn’t planning to run again this year.
Updated (2/25/16 7:30 am) Fixed footnote mistakenly listing Fallon as serving on Planning Board.
