- Story Time & Craft (10:30 – 11:00 am) @ zoom: The Southborough Library is partnering with the YMCA of Central MA through the Family and Community Partnership Program to provide weekly story and craft programs. Join Miss Kim for themed stories and a craft on Zoom. A list of materials for the craft will be sent out along with the Zoom link each week. To register, go to www.theyfcp.org and click on the “Join YFCP” tab. (This will be held Mondays through the end of April.)
- Zoom Chat with Senior Center staff (11:15 am) @ zoom: Pre-registration is required. “We are excited to offer a “new program” to take a break and chat with the Senior Center Staff (Pam, Leslie, Cindy, Lorraine and Peg). - Preschool Story Time – Facebook (10:30 – 11:00 am) @ Facebook Live: Children’s Librarian “Miss Kim” will hold a story time for ages 2-6 (siblings welcome). Each week will feature themed stories on Facebook Live with Ms. Kim! No registration necessary (Note: You don’t have to have a Facebook account to watch the Library’s videos, which are still viewable after the live event is over.)
- QiGong for seniors (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ zoom: For details on weekly class, see dedicated post.
- SYFS speaker series: Media Literacy: Voices Against Violence (7:00 pm) @ zoom: Southborough Youth and Family Services is sponsoring a free speaker series over zoom this spring. Tonight’s topic is Media Literacy: Voices Against Violence. Parents and youth will be challenged to think critically about messages they receive about consent, relationships, power dynamics, and violent behavior from the media. Pre-registration required. - Easter Scavenger Hunt (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ In front of Public Safety Building, 32 Cordaville Road: Southborough Kindergroup will place cut-out bunnies in different locations around town, with clues for members of the community to find. Find all the bunnies to enter to win a “Golden Egg Raffle Basket”. The fun is sponsored by Middlesex Savings Bank. One of the hunt stops will be a collection site for donating items to the Southborough Food Pantry. For details, see dedicated post (with clues).
- Easter Bunny waving to visitors (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ In front of Public Safety Building, 32 Cordaville Road: The Easter Bunny will be available out front of the building to wave to anyone who wishes to visit. Visitors are asked to stay in their cars. Please proceed through the main entrance of the Public Safety building, drive slowly, and exit out through the Woodward School driveway. - Read to a Dog (11:00 – 11:40 am) @ zoom: Children preferably ages 5 and up with some reading ability will read to a certified therapy dog. The event is limited and requires pre-registration. For details on this bi-weekly program, see dedicated post.
